CinnoVex (interferon beta-1a) a 166 amino acid glycoprotein with a predicted molecular weight of approximately 22,500 daltons, manufactured by a biotechnological process from one of the naturally-occurring interferons. It is produced by recombinant DNA technology, exactly the same amino acids as the interferon beta found in the human body. Indication: Interferon beta-1a is approved by FDA to treat relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS) to decrease the number of flare-ups and slow the occurrence of some of the physical disability that is common in people with MS.
